| Description: | 29th Annual JazzSAlive in Travis Park, September 22 & 23 Whether you are a seasoned jazz aficionado, or someone who just wants to witness a solid jazz performance, JazzSAlive is the place to be in September. The San Antonio Parks Foundation & The City of San Antonio present JazzSAlive at Travis Park, Saturday and Sunday, September 22 and 23, 2012, from noon to 11 p.m, and noon to 10 p.m. JazzSAlive is a FREE two-day festival featuring national, regional and local musicians. The event features national recording Jazz artists, as well as regional and local Jazz favorites. Children's activities will be featured both days from noon to 6 p.m. NO OUTSIDE COOLERS ALLOWED IN THE PARK. The Starlight Salute to JazzSAlive Gala, featuring dinner, dancing and auction, will be held Friday, September 21, 2012 at the St. Anthony Hotel, 300 E. Travis. The live auction will take place during the JazzSAlive Gala on Friday, September 21. JazzSAlive is co-sponsored by the San Antonio Parks Foundation and the City of San Antonio. JazzSAlives generous sponsors include Bud Light, The St. Anthony Hotel Official Host Hotel of JazzSAlive, H-E-B, Rio San Antonio Cruises, News 4 WOAI, Q101.9, KRTU 91.7, and the San Antonio Express-News. Special thanks to the San Antonio Convention and Visitors Bureau. The Saturday evening performance is generously underwritten by the Russell Hill Rogers Fund for the Arts and the Tobin Endowment. JazzSAlive is a Fall Arts Festival event. Dont forget the exciting JazzSAlive After Dark Jam Sessions Friday and Saturday nights at the St. Anthony Hotels Peacock Alley till 2 a.m. Sponsored by Rio San Antonio Cruises, this event is your chance to catch an up close and personal glimpse of national and regional Jazz musicians jamming alongside our favorite local bands. The event is free, and follows the last performance on the main stage. Taking the bus? Travis Park is very bus accessible. During the weekend of the event, the park will be visited by more than 25 bus routes: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 (US-281 Express), 8, 9, 10, 14, 20, 26, 30, 34, 36, 42, 46, 51, 67, 68, 79, 82, 88, 90, 91, 92, 97, and late night routes 202, 204, and 282.
