| Description: | Who doesn't love HOT CHILI and COLD BEER? Yaga's Chili Quest and Beer Fest returns to Galveston Historic Strand District on Saturday, January 18, 2014, featuring a variety of locally crafted beers and over 80 chili cook-off teams. Visitors to the 5th Annual Chili Quest will be able to sample chili from teams vying to be awarded the Best Chili on Galveston Island. Returning this year is the expanded Beer Festival. Visitors to the beer festival will be able to purchase a souvenir beer-tasting mug along with a punch card to sample a variety over 100 craft and import beers and chat with expert BrewMasters. The ultimate beer fan is promised rare finds and a few surprises. Other events include a Washer Pitching Tournament, Margarita Contest, Jalapeno Eating Contest, Chili Pepper Quick Step 5K Fun Run, and Strand Merchant Walk-About. | ||
