| Description: | From Concho Valley Bluegrass Festival Website: This is the new name for our annual Festival. Nelson McGee, a pioneer in bringing bluegrass to the Concho Valley, was a mentor and inspiration to many young musicians. He created this festival to benefit the Girls Home and Shelter because, as he said, "we've got to take care of those girls." We lost Nelson in 2012. This year his wife Ginny finally said we could change the name. We're honored to continue to benefit from and enjoy his dream.
