The impact of Jim Boyd and Bill Boyd's body of work, together and individually, to the birth of Western Swing, also called Southern Jazz, can only be described as groundbreaking. Along with Bob Wills, Jim and Bill Boyd are considered founding fathers of the genre.

Ladonia is proud to claim the Boyd brothers as native sons and invite all lovers of Western Swing and Texas Music Festivals to attend the Third Annual Boyd Music Festival on September 10, 2016 from 2pm to 10pm.

Along with live music and dancing in the streets, there will be food and craft vendors, shaved ice and so much more to this free family friendly event.

While admission is free, there are wristbands available for $5.00 good for participation in a cash prize drawing! Tee-Shirts will be available and you can pre-order them on line for pick up at the Chamber booth on the day of the festival.
