South Texas CattleWomen and Uvalde Festival and Events Association are honored to produce the 2016 Briscoe Ranch Cook-off at the Crossroads.

This years event will take place December 9-10, 2016 at the Uvalde County Fairplex. With the average high temperature in the mid 70s in mid December, cooking conditions should be nothing but favorable for guests visiting the Crossroads of America.

In 2013, the Senate of the State of Texas recognized the Uvalde cook-off as a Texas State Championship Barbecue Competition. Sanctioned by the International Barbecue Cookers Association (IBCA), BBQ teams will compete for cash and prizes.

The Briscoe Ranch Cook-off at the Crossroads will produce a $15,000 GUARANTEED PAYOUT, plus additional prizes. Competition categories include beef brisket, pork spare ribs, chicken halves and jackpot ribeye steak. Prize money will be given to 1st through 15th places in the three categories of brisket, pork spare ribs and chicken.
