The Festival at the Switchyard honors the critical role the railroad played in putting Carrollton on the map and continuing importance of rail in Carrollton's present and future. The event is held in the streets of Downtown Carrollton, situated off I-35E at Belt Line Road, just steps away from the DART Green Line Downtown Carrollton station. With FREE admission, FREE parking, FREE rides, FREE games, and FREE concerts, the Festival at the Switchyard is sure to be a new family favorite. We look forward to seeing you there for a memorable day full of good times, good treats, and good tunes.

Last year, over 30,000 people were on hand to discover the unique stores and eclectic restaurants of Downtown Carrollton. This free event provides visitors an opportunity to enjoy family-friendly concerts, take a break in the beer garden, shop festival booths, or try a bite from our food vendors while the kids enjoy our activity area, childrens entertainers, bungee trampolines, and more!
