Krist Kindl Markt closes the Copperas Cove downtown area for vendors and shoppers to share a traditional market experience for Christmas.

"(Krist Kindl) is very unique, because it is an outdoors (arts and crafts) market in December," said Betty Price, past president of the Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce and Visitor's Bureau.

The Chamber of Commerce puts the market on every year in the area of Avenue E and Main Street, with room for more than 100 arts, crafts and food vendors. In previous years, more than a few thousand people have come to Copperas Cove to shop at Krist Kindl Markt, Price said. Krist Kindl Markt isnt just about shopping and selling, Price said. The chamber wants the festival to generate that Christmas spirit for the greater community. There will be Christmas decorations, Christmas lights, performances from school groups, a Christmas parade and other holiday festivities.
