It is time for the 24th Annual Chicken and Bread Days Heritage Festival in our ever-popular downtown area. We are very excited to welcome hundreds of visitors into our city and local businesses. This tradition brings back the history of our community and continues to thrive downtown each and every year.

The Bowie Community Development Chicken and Bread Festival Committee welcomes and encourages all guests and vendors to this day-long family-friendly event which has everything from fiddler's contest, Piston Heads Car Show, Quilt and Art Shows, to kid's coop activities like the egg toss to live music and much more on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019.

In addition, do not forget our shops will be open for extended hours on Friday night, October 4 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. for the downtown Chicken and Bread preview Sip and Stroll Event.
